Doreen Chan, DVM

Dr. Doreen Chan grew up in Sunnyvale and graduated from Cornell’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Chan explored different options for her future, but veterinary medicine always had the strongest pull. She transferred from a local community college into her undergraduate program where she studied Animal Health Science at Cal Poly Pomona. This program allowed her to obtain her veterinary technician license and after graduating, she worked for 2 years as a Registered Veterinary Technician. She continued to work on and off during her time off while in veterinary school. While working, she found the best part about veterinary medicine was being able to have the ability to form bonds with owners along with their furry companions. After spending 4 years in the cold New York winters, she knew she wanted to return home to sunny California.

Dr. Chan is currently on the hunt for a furry companion of her own but enjoys being the fun aunt to her family and friends’ pets. In her free time, she enjoys baking, cooking, hiking, and reading.
